Then another day last week I'm taking kids to school and poor Tanner is so sad he can't go to school "It's not fair Hayden gets to go to school all the time"... so somehow we got on the subject of talking to strangers.. and Tanner tells me "Grandma, that's how you get to know people" "My mom lets me talk to strangers all the time... " Ok I love that boy.. He is so cute and you should hear some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth.... "Grandma we're kids we're suppose to be hungry"....

door to door salesman......and talking to strangers...
Ok so it's that time of year again... fund raisers... Let me just say how much I really hate fundraisers and I especially do not think they should give them to the kindergartner's.... So of course everyone wants to go and sale the stupid little booklets. Last week I come home from picking up the kids from Jr. High and I see Hayden walking out of my neighbors yard with his fundraiser packet... ummmm HELLO! I asked him what he was doing and of course he tells me he is selling his booklets. Well he had sold two and had money for one.. yep... guess he just gave the other one away, and it's so good to know that my neighborhood probably thinks "what kind of mother would let their 5 year old walk the streets selling things." ya that would be me... So again let me say how much I really hate fundraisers. Sure he's a cute kid but good grief....

First Day of School
Here they are all ready for their first day of school. Hayden starts with kindergarten, I hope he does ok. Cory was a little nervous about remembering where his classes are in Jr. High. It's always a bit stressful to start school again, and since Jeff has been gone we didn't get fathers blessings yet. But... ready or not here we go...
Lexie is a Jr. Haley is in 9th grade, Cory is in 7th grade , Chloe is in 5th the twins are in 2nd. They wanted to stay the night so they could ride the bus. Cause the bus is so fun.... not sure about that, but they all sure look cute.

Kirsten's birthday was friday the 6th and so we made a cake for her and her kids decorated one and Chloe decorated the other... Can you guess which is which? They all had fun..

Girls Camp
Ok earlier this week was girls camp. I went as a 6th year YCL leader which was really fun. It was a fun time for everyone, although it rained every day. I mean rained... did I tell you it RAINED everyday. In fact on Monday the day which we usually have a water fight, it was a torential downpour. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that, the girls having a waterfight in the pouring rain. It was crazy. So crazy. I was so over the rain. EVERY day it rained, did I mention that? anyway the photos don't show the clouds but they were there. It's good though because it shows the girls they can do hard things. Our stake camp director is Lindsay Merkley. This was her first year and she did a really great job. She went to girls camp as a teenager and was not a member and joined later. Her parents weren't very supportive, and on the day of her temple marriage her mom did not even give her a hug. She told the girls they didn't have to have it all to do it all. I loved that. They didn't have to have parents who are members to get married in the temple, they are in charge of their own destiny. She knew they could do hard things, because she did. I hope that sunk in with some of the girls. And I hope the girls could relate to the storms and how in life we need a shelter just like at camp we needed a shelter. I really enjoyed the 6th years, they are older so they know what they are suppose to do, we didn't have any drama, which was so great. and they are a great bunch of girls. Glad to be home, but it was a great time too, did I mention that it rained every day?
Playing Ninja - first time for me, too funny... Crazy game if you haven't played before you need to try it....Althought one leader from Red Mt. ward had a finger she had broke and it was almost healed and she broke it again playing Ninja...
