Oh What do YOU do in the Summer time......

Our Summer began with Chloe heading off to EFY in Provo Ut.  She had a goal that they would see as many temples along the way up and back that they could.  She saw 17 in all, including Phoenix and Mesa (what's one more when it's right there).  She had a great time, Lexie was able to take the trip up to Ut with Jeff and Chloe.   While in Utah they stayed with Jeff's sister Sue and were able to go to Music and the spoken word at the Tabernacle.  They also drove up to Odgen and Preston Id. and saw where Jeff's dad grew up.

TREK, a reenactment of what the pioneers went through coming out west to escape persecution.  Chloe's first one and it was an amazing experience for her.  During part of the TREK they take the men and boys away. Because during the actual Trek it was the mexican war and the army came and took the men and able boys to go fight that war.  During this time the girls have to push the handcarts on their own.  It's very difficult and at the hardest part of the hill "angels came out and help push the handcarts."  Jeff and I were able to go and be an angel.  It was a very sweet experience.  Jeff ran out of the woods to help Chloe's handcart and her reaction when she saw her dad was truly priceless.  She exclaimed "My Dad!"  What a wonderful experience to teach these youth that we have angels in our lives sometimes those angels are our family members, there to help us through a difficult time.  It was such a sweet experience, one I will forever be grateful for!

Father's Day. :)  We love this dad of ours.  He deserves the best gifts for all the time and hard work he does for this family!

Hayden made the Allstar team in baseball.  This was his first time, and they made it to four games.  He played like a pro!  The third game they were down 9-3 or so and came back to tie at 12-12 then went into over time and won with a grand slam.  So exciting!

Chloe went on the 4th year hike for girls camp.  They hiked Mt. Humphrey's in Flagstaff.  She almost made it to the top.  They also explored the lava tubes.  She had a good time and I think she was glad she did it. :)

Girls Camp this year was great like always.  I was able to go and be the photographer.  So it was just fun to go around and take pictures of the girls.  Our theme was You Can Shine.  I loved it and I love to be with the women who go and work and put it all together.  They are inspired.    This was Tayla and Madyson's first year and I know they felt the spirit of girls camp.  I'm grateful for the spirit that is a part of girls camp.

Best stake skit ever!
Jeff and I took the little kids up to Kanab to meet their dad.  On the way home we were so close to the North rim that we stopped.  It was beautiful and I love to be with Jeff.  He makes a great travel companion, we have a good time together...

My sister had to move her classroom this year to another school.  So I spent a few hours (about a million) helping her put her room together.  I think we were successful.  :)
4th of July in Show Low.
One of our favorite Elders stopped by to say goodbye.  Elder Smith.  We love him and now that he is home I hope he stays on the right track..
We also celebrated Darin's Bday.  We sent him and Cabrina to a resort.  They had a great time.  We watched the boys for them.  Wesson is getting so big, and Caydn is such a sweetie.  We love him!

We took our YW up to Heber for a planning weekend.  We were able to go to the Snow flake temple and perform baptisms.  Each of the girls were able to do 10 names.  It was a really great experience for them.  I love to take our YW to the temple and I love to feel the spirit of that sacred place.

Kirsten's Big 30 Birthday!

Cory's big 18th Birthday, his sisters did some really fun gifts.

First day of school. Cory a senior, Chloe a sophmore, Tayla and Madyson 7th grade, Hayden 5th, Tanner 4th and Reese 1st... WOW  time flies...

Chloe is taking a sculpting class, I think she will have more homework in this class then her college classes...  She had to make this cute little book.  She always does such a great job.  I loved it..
We went to Wicked!  It was such a great night.  I've never been, so I didn't know the story.  LOVED it!  and I loved my kids reactions.  They loved it.  I loved Chloe's laughing a split second after the wizard of oz joke, and Cory ready to burst out in song...  It was a great night -  Love my family!

This cute fella turns 1 today...  He really has been a joyful guy.  It's been fun to have him around.  He will be so spoiled since no one can stand to hear him cry. :)  He really has been a happy baby. We are grateful for him!
