Maybe it's not water weight.....

Ok so I went visiting teaching this morning (which by the way is always great!) I love my comp. and Love the great lady we saw today!!! Anyway I get home to Cory and Jake making a pound cake... well the girls didn't want to let that pass so they decided to make churros... ummmm like I need to eat any more sweets..... HELLO .... anyway they both did it totally on their own, (I helped a little with frying the churros) and they tasted delicious! Ok my kids are killing me..... so maybe my complaining about water weight this morning was a little premature....

Now if I could just get them to clean up the kitchen. ...
ummmm anything is good with that much cinnamon and sugar on it...

Cory got home from scout camp yesterday. He said it was the worst week ever... To which I said, there is NO complaining.... they got rained on and everything got soaked and the food wasn't good... I guess.... it's good for him. So today he wanted to make cinnamon rolls. He did it with very little help from me. They were really good too. My son, the chef... :) gotta love that face!

New hair cuts

Tayla and Madyson got new hair cuts. I'm the one who took them and they both wanted it in a short bob. Kirsten didn't want Madyson to get her's short but after she saw Tayla's she wanted her's like Tayla's. So being the grandma that I am... I let her do it and dealt with Kirsten... :) she got over it.... Madyson wanted hers curled and Tayla wanted her's straight... But overall I think that they are both so cute - Please it's only hair they should be able to get it cut how they want it....

BFF's

Kylie Sheets is here visiting and these little girls are just the best of friends. so we've been having a great time, here they are at As you Wish getting ready to paint. Here we are eating... silly girls...

Really?

Ok so yesterday we woke up to a shopping cart in our backyard. I mean really? too funny, I think that's a pretty good prank. I know who did it, cause they are the same ones who prank us everytime. So if you want names I've got them. :)

Darin's Birthday

Today is Darin's birthday, so he came over to say hi. Jeff is left today for North Carolina so we will take him out when he gets home, we usually take the birthday child out for dinner or lunch and with Darin he just wants money to go towards his truck fund. It was good to see him, we haven't seen him in months, funny how that goes. He's not very good about coming over and my girls loved seeing him, Chloe bought him a candybar and helped the twins make him "pop-out" cards, very cute. I always have to take pictures when he's here cause he's not here very much. :) Cory is gone to scout camp that's why he's not here.

Cake off

Ok so here are the cakes from the Cake off that I posted about earlier. This one is the girls made. They made their own fondont and everything. Here is the one the boys made, it has Trevor name on it because he is their friend from Utah visiting and he is the judge.. I'm not sure who he picked... but it kept them busy all day....

Summer fun

Ok our summer has been busy and full of lots of people everyday! Maybe not so busy as just full of extra people.... so the picture below is what my house looks like almost everyday. ummm lets see we usually have 3 or 4 extra teenagers, today we have three 12 year olds, and my 5 little grandchildren are here... yep almost everyday, 10 extra bodies... (and you wonder WHY I hit QT every day...) Somedays I wonder if I'll make it through the summer..... Other days its totally fun and the kids are good and everyone hangs out and gets along and are making great memories.. Since Jeff lost his job we really down graded our cable so we lost most of our channels but for some reason we still have the FOOD channel. Well that has become my kids favorite channel, and today Cory and Jake had to have a cake off with Chloe and Megan, so Cory looked up the recipe for fondont and they made it all by theirselves. I was pretty impressed, although the first batch they made with normal sugar instead of powder sugar, (6 cups) yikes... Cory is so funny and tells me he'll clean up the mess (which haven't see yet) but he gets on line and checks out how to do it. The other day he made some sugar stuff that you can form into things, he might be our cook yet... he really is a cute boy and as he gets older he becomes more of a teenager and the sweet little boy who always had a hug and kiss for me is disappearing... I miss that cute little boy, but I love my son!

A couple of weeks ago Chloe planned a party, she told me about it AFTER she had invited everyone and AFTER she had bought all the supplies. She is just a little social butterfly, since I worked at the school I know all the kids and I have to admit I wasn't too excited about some of these boys... (not Scott, Katie) they were pistols... But overall it worked out and I didn't have to get after them too many times.. Haley was all put out cause it was a boy girl party and couldn't believe I let Chloe have a girl boy party when she couldn't have a boy girl party at that age... oops.. I plead the 5th....
