Our Week away...

Last sunday we recieved a call from Jeff's brother telling us that his mom had taken a fall. She was ok but we were concerned enough that we thought we'd drive up to Grand Junction and see what we could do to help out. It was a good trip and while we were there we decided to do somethings in Jeff's parents home to help eliminate the possiblity of his mom falling at home. One of the things we looked at was replacing their tub for a walk in shower. Jeff and his brothers got busy and took out the old bathtub, (which by the way you have to take a sledge hammer too). When I get a picture of the finished project I'll post it. It will be so nice when it's done.
We didn't stay to finish the job cause we wanted to beat the bad weather. Well we didn't beat it to far, we ended getting snowed in in Show Low for a day. We finally got home last night after being gone for 6 days... Kirsten stayed here with the kids which was nice but very chaotic and hard on everyone...How many Smith brothers does it take to take some tile off the walls...

Here we are in Show Low... I haven't seen snow like this in years.. Too bad my kids weren't with me they would have had so much fun.

Jeff's 50th!

Ok today was Jeff's big 50th Birthday... He really didn't want a party ( we still might pull one together...) so I emailed a bunch of friends and had everyone bring over 50 items of something. To surprise him, he didn't get it at first but after the third person dropped by, he finally got the theme... He got 50 payday's, 50 gold medals (pasta rings) on a necklace cause he's a gold medal dad, 50 onion rings, 50 M&M's, 50 sticky notes, 50 tic tacs, 50 york pepermint patties, 50 cans of soda, 50 rasins (cause he's all pruney) 50 bran flakes ( to keep him regular) 50 pieces of pop corn (cause he's peaked), 50 pieces of fruit... It's been a really fun day... I hope he's had a great day... 50... WOW... what a fun day!

Christmas Activities.. slide show

I haven't posted in so long... Sorry... life is just busy, Instead of putting each picture, I made a few slide shows to make it less space consuming... We've had some fun holidays. I'm glad it's over though, we took down our tree today. ) I know a little bah humbug since it's only the day after Christmas. But I'm ready to have my house back and get back into some kind of a schedule. Work on projects for school or something.. ) Anyway it's been a nice break, Jeff's had the whole time off and all of next week off too. It feels like Sat. everyday. I'm loving having him home, and we are having fun...

Birthday fun slide show

Here we are celebrating Chloe, Madyson, and Tayla's birthday. They had a combined party at Bounce U. They each invited two friends. I think they all had a fun time, and everyone was so tired when we were done. It was great!

Flagstaff slide show

Here the kids are playing in the snow in Flagstaff with their cousins..

We went to Flag for my nephew's highschool state football game. They lost, but we had lots of fun.

Halloween Fun!

Last week we carved pumpkins... Everyone had to have their own, but no one wanted to clean it out and Jeff ended up actually doing most of the carving... The little kids drew what they wanted on their pumpkin and Jeff carved it... Although they drew a bunch of little things like spiders etc, Jeff was like ummmmm don't think I can do that.. :)

Here the twins are in their parade at school. Madyson was a can-can girl... Tayla a cheetah or lepard...

Here we are at the ward Trunk or Treat... Tayla is trying to bite the dounut off the string..

Tanner won in the cake walk.

Boo at the Zoo

So I took the little ones and Chloe and Haley to Boo at the Zoo yesterday! We had a good time. We fed the Sting Ray's , which is always so much fun! Tayla and Madyson won a game with Radio Disney and so they won some tickets to see Ravon Symone' at the State Fair this wednesday. Then we went to Harmony Farm, where we lost Tanner for about 20 min. I was starting to get really worried then we see him being carried by a Zoo security guy. Whew! I was so glad he was ok. Little guy wondered off, there were about a zillion people there yesterday. On the way to the car, I was holding Tanner and I said "Wasn't today a fun day?" and He said "No!" Oops I forgot it wasn't a fun day for him. We had our block party last night too, so that made up for his hard day, they had lots of fun, we had a couple of jumping blow up things and the kids had a great time. Over all it was fun day!
