Ok so these past few days Cory has had some kind of stomach bug. He has really been feeling yucky but let me just say that with him I'm just not sure... He tends to be a little dramatic... I know hard to believe in this family. So on Monday morning Kirsten brings her kids over for school and she tells us how Tanner is also sick. And as she is describing how he is throwing up we are all dying laughing... He was just standing there straight up rolling his head around moaning and throwing up all over the floor.. Bleh, bleh, Bleh........ It was just so funny and after telling Jeff about it we were reminded of a trip to Colorado we took when Kirsten was about 10... she was sick the morning we left and somewhere on the reservation we had to stop so she could throw up. Well if I could describe that little scene to you you would be laughing hard. She gets out of the car moaning and kneels down in the dirt throws up and then rolls in it.... Being so dramatic... I know I know that is hard to believe that Kristen would be dramatic...... The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree.. :)
Can I also just make a post that I MISS MY HUSBAND!!!! It's so hard to have him gone all the time, I just get so lonely and eat too much and spend way too much money.... I'm really grateful he has a job and they just extended his contract until Dec. so that's the good news bad news deal. Big Sigh!!! Miss him! Miss him! Miss him!

Jeff home for a couple
Jeff was home this past weekend. He only comes home a couple of weekends a month so we really try to take advantage of having him around. I miss him so much! The kids do too! so he told the kids they could go eat whereever they wanted and they choose The Cheesecake Factory, and really who am I to disagree with them... It was yummy and of course we had to have cheesecake. Although Chloe doesn't like cheesecake, in fact she didn't really want to go there, she is kinda hard to please... (she'll be mad I put that in...) But she got to have the chocolate fudge cake, YUM! Anyway it was just a fun night. Cory was here but wasn't feeling well so I didn't get any photo's of him. I'm really grateful Jeff has a job, and they did just extend his contract until Dec. and of course they love him, but it's hard to have him gone all the time. We really miss him!

Colorado Trip
Over Labor Day weekend we had a chance to get away to Grand Junction. It was so nice to spend time with Jeff and the kids and to see Jeff's parents and brothers . We had a great time. On the way home we stopped in Blanding to visit his other sister and her two daughters and one new son in law and two step sons. It was really good. Here the kids are with Jeff's mom.

door to door salesman......and talking to strangers...
Ok so it's that time of year again... fund raisers... Let me just say how much I really hate fundraisers and I especially do not think they should give them to the kindergartner's.... So of course everyone wants to go and sale the stupid little booklets. Last week I come home from picking up the kids from Jr. High and I see Hayden walking out of my neighbors yard with his fundraiser packet... ummmm HELLO! I asked him what he was doing and of course he tells me he is selling his booklets. Well he had sold two and had money for one.. yep... guess he just gave the other one away, and it's so good to know that my neighborhood probably thinks "what kind of mother would let their 5 year old walk the streets selling things." ya that would be me... So again let me say how much I really hate fundraisers. Sure he's a cute kid but good grief....
Then another day last week I'm taking kids to school and poor Tanner is so sad he can't go to school "It's not fair Hayden gets to go to school all the time"... so somehow we got on the subject of talking to strangers.. and Tanner tells me "Grandma, that's how you get to know people" "My mom lets me talk to strangers all the time... " Ok I love that boy.. He is so cute and you should hear some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth.... "Grandma we're kids we're suppose to be hungry"....

First Day of School
Here they are all ready for their first day of school. Hayden starts with kindergarten, I hope he does ok. Cory was a little nervous about remembering where his classes are in Jr. High. It's always a bit stressful to start school again, and since Jeff has been gone we didn't get fathers blessings yet. But... ready or not here we go...
Lexie is a Jr. Haley is in 9th grade, Cory is in 7th grade , Chloe is in 5th the twins are in 2nd. They wanted to stay the night so they could ride the bus. Cause the bus is so fun.... not sure about that, but they all sure look cute.

Birthdays and more birthdays....
Today was Cory's birthday and Jake made him a cake. So nice since I didn't make him one... we also had to go to Krispy Kreme for his free dozen doughnuts. Fun...
Kirsten's birthday was friday the 6th and so we made a cake for her and her kids decorated one and Chloe decorated the other... Can you guess which is which? They all had fun..
